Shin-Ming Elementary School is a partnership between parents, pupils, and teachers committed to creating the best learning community. Our collective commitment is to ensure that every child attains academic proficiency and full social and personal potential that will allow them the opportunity to meet their future needs. We continuously provide all students with an appropriate learning environment in a nurturing atmosphere to produce lifelong learners.

Xinmin Primary School was founded on the Children's Day of the year of 1952. In that year, the kindergarten was first established and it was named Xinmin Kindergarten. This kindergarten was registered under the school board in 1963.

In 1967 September, based on the parental needs, social demands, the Primary School part was established and it was named “Xinmin.”  Our school is officially approved by the Taipei City government under the registration number 47111.

In 1976, our school’s name is changed to Taipei Xinmin Primary school by the government order and it is officially included in the primary education system .  

• In 1952, Ms. Yuan-Cheng Shiao founded private Xinmin kindergarten and served as principal.
• In 1962, Ms. Shiao Yuan-Cheng served as the first principal of Taipei Private Xinmin Primary school and our school was registered under the number of 47111.
• In 1962, 18 students graduated.
• In 1963, August, Xinmin kindergarten stopped recruiting students.
• In 1968, September, Shin Yi Building was completed.
• In 1972, Ho-Ping building was completed.
• In 1973, Ms. Shiao Yuan-Cheng served as the first head of our school board and our school board was registered in the name of legal foundation of finacnial group.
• In 1981, September, Mr. Shi-Lieh Chu served as head of school board.
• In 1982, August, Ms. Yuan-Cheng Shiao retired and Mr. Shin-Yien Ma served as school principal.
• In 1984, our school was ordered by government to rename it as “Taipei Private Xinmin Primary School.”
• In 1984, September, Yuan-Cheng Shiao served as head of school board.
• In 1989, September, Yu-Chuan Tang served as head of school board.
• In 1991, August, private Xinmin affiliated kindergarten started recruiting students.
• In 1991, September, Mr. Kuang-Gen Tang served as head of school board.
• In 1993, August, Mr. Shin-Yien Ma retired and Mr. Chin-Huei Chow served as school principal.
• In 1996, July, Chung-Shiao building was completed.
• In 1998, August, Mr. Chin-Huei Chow retired and Mr. Chi-Der Huang served as school principal.
• In 1999, July, Mr. Jen-I building was completed.
• In 2001, August, Mr. Chi-Der Huang retired and Mr. Gen-Yung Shieh served as school principal.
• In 2002, September, Ms. Bi-Huien Tang served as head of school board.
• In 2003, February, our school started serving notorious lunch for the whole school.
• In 2006, April, our school held activities to celebrate 50^th anniversary.
• In 2011, August, Ken-Hung Shieh retired and Mr. Ming-Shawn Yung served as school principal.
• In 2014, August, Ming-Shawn Yung retired and Ms. Liang-Hsi Pan serves as current principal.
